Trudeau nationalizes Canadian media

Glacier Media (https://www.glaciermedia.ca), is the criminal enterprise you pay for. And it is just one of the big four newspaper groups that Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada are giving $600 million of taxpayer's money to. this is on top of the $75 million already paid out by the Canadian Periodical Fund. But back to the original sentence, why is Glacier Media a criminal enterprise, you might ask? Well for starters they engage in software piracy, tax fraud, illegal collusion and employ overseas hackers. If they weren't a politically well connected company they'd be the target of multi-national investigations, instead they receive millions of taxpayer dollars. They might not yet escape unscathed, as California takes software piracy very seriously, and will even seek extradition. As well, while the government of Canada turns a blind eye to the overseas hackers illegally working for Glacier Media, shareholders likely won't feel the same. Part of Glacier's busin...

Heritage Minister & Iqra Khalid plan next step in outlawing free speech

It was nothing more than a statement from the government condemning racism, said the ruling Liberals. 'Conservative' columnists Andrew Coyne and Kelly McParland told us it was nothing to think twice about (if those guys are conservatives then we're living in Bizarro World) and any criticism of it meant you were a fascist (yes, this guys are middle aged SJWs). Of course, as all of those opposed to Motion 103 (M103) knew, it never stops with a motion. The motion becomes a bill, the bill becomes law, the law gets precedence, and then throw out the Constitution because we live in  police state. Guys like Coyne and McParland like police states, because they feel as part of the media establishment they'll always be protected by government (as long as they tow the line, which they are only too happy to do, in return for their government subsidized paycheque). And Heritage Minister Melanie Joly and MP Iqra Khalid (the author of the motion) like a police state, because they ...

Post truth Toronto Star spreads Muslim ban lie

Canada's largest city, Toronto, recently was host to a large anti-free speech rally. Er, actually it was billed as a anti-Islamaphobia rally, but effectively it was a rally for Black Lives Matter and assorted SJWs to call for the shutting down of all speech they disagree with (which is an awful lot). True to form they even believe that whilst protesting publicly and disrupting others they have the right to demand no one (they don't approve of, which is also an awful lot) film them. See link below for Genuinewitty's (genuinewitty.com) experience with autocratic demands of the anti-fascist, fascists:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8twjgpcv0Ao The usual suspects were all in attendance, including hate monger Yusra Khogali, the woman who writes on social media about her strong desire to cut up white people, and who yells "coon" at Ethiopian immigrants who dare to speak against her hate filled agenda.  None of this stopped the City ...

Tristin Hopper: All the Fake News fit to Print

Not wanting to miss the 'Trump is a Nazi' bandwagon, National Post 'journalist' Tristin Hopper penned a column suggesting a Canadian conservative of Iranian birth was now banned from the U.S. That is, in a word, a lie. Kaz Nejatian, the Iranian born Canadian in question, is not a dual citizen and travels on a valid Canadian passport, mainly to the Bay area where his tech business is based. So there are no restrictions on his travel. Just as there are no restrictions on former Israeli Minister of Defence, Shaul Mofaz, who happened to be born in Tehran in 1948, but has been an Israeli citizen his entire adult life, there are no travel restrictions on Israelis, but that didn't stop Hopper from claiming there were (hey, why let truth get in the way, right?) Hopper is of course the journalist who defamed me on Twitter a few weeks ago, so I'm already familiar with his complete (and actionable) dishonesty. However, many National Post readers, thinking that pu...

Defamation from National Post reporter

Yesterday after a brief twitter exchange involving an unfunny joke from National Post reporter, Tristin Hopper, he jumped to defamation and called me jobless. Actually no, I'm a working journalist, but Hopper is part of the Canadian media establishment, which has blacklisted me for being an entrepreneur (I started my own newspaper, and other publications) and so to him, I imagine, libel is fair game. In the Canadian press if you don't work for one of the intertwined four print media companies you are an outsider; if you in anyway challenge their markets, you are a threat, and subject to slander, phone hacking, being followed by private investigators, and any other technique they can devise to drag you through the mud. Hopper, as a loyal peon to that establishment loves to jump in with the mud flinging as soon as the opportunity arises (as demonstrated yesterday). Ironically his career in journalism started at the Yukon News, which remained independent till 2013 before sel...

DON'T support Rebel Media!

The above headline might seem odd coming from a right-leaning libertarian website, but I assure you it isn't. Rebel Media is on a fundraising kick this holiday season, hoping to be the Breitbart News of the north. But they can never be Breitbart News for one fundamental reason, they are not a truly independent media outlet like Breitbart. Media in Canada (and yes I'm speaking from firsthand experience) is about as corrupt as it gets. In print media four major companies control just about everything, and to make matters worse, they don't compete against each other, they illegally collude to secure monopoly markets for themselves. And on top of that, they are inter-owned. Of the four print media companies, Glacier Media, Black Press, Torstar and Post Media, Post Media owns (approximately) 15 percent of Glacier, and Torstar owns 15 percent of Black Press. Now you might think the two inter-owned entities would at least compete against each other, but you'd be wro...

Crooks and hypocrites: Canadian media in a nutshell

It all started a few weeks back with Globe and Mail columnist Lawrence Martin bemoaning the state of print media in Canada. Then Martin who never saw a government spending solution in search of a problem he didn't like followed with a suggestion that newspapers should be subsidized by the government. This was followed by the CBC's announcement they were getting into the news publishing business (online) and its condemnation from the gang over at the Rebel Media (born out of the ashes of Sun TV) crying foul over CBC's move into the (digital) newspaper game. Brian Lilley recorded a monologue about Canada's heavily subsidized broadcaster muscling in on the private enterprise, and supposedly at-arms-length from government, newspaper business.  Except its not true, not even remotely. Canada's newspaper media has the most monopolistic ownership of any industrialized democracy... okay, we're about on par with Venezuela, wonderful, how proud we should all be in...
