Youtube the multi billion dollar corp that steals from me

A couple of weeks back the ad sense account linked to my Youtube channel  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR53rN77zIQ1hbuIZfGZDHw  showed revenue declining. I don't mean revenue was going down as compared to previous days, accrued revenue in my account was being subtracted. At first just a couple of dollars a day, but now it's $9-$10, so at that pace it won't take long until my entire account is emptied. During this period my fewer ship has increased substantially, in a 45 day period I gained 3000 subscribers and went from just several hundred views to almost 400,000. Yes I've had a few of my nearly 50 videos demonetized, but actually none of the real blockbuster ones (over 10,000 views) and I've received no community or copyright strikes. So what's going on? This is exactly what I asked Youtube, repeatedly. At first their answer was analytics and Ad Sense can take a few days to reconcile their numbers, when I pointed out I was talking about a period of wee...

Tory leadership race: 12 dwarves and one Mad Max

The Tory leadership candidates held the French language debate last night (Jan 17) and collectively they decided it was time to take frontrunner Maxine Bernier down a peg, by piling on and dubbing him Mad Max (you know, for having policies and stuff). Nothing says desperate so much as taking potshots at the guy in front. And note how well that worked for Trump's opponents leading up to and over the Republican primaries.  But in case you're not quite up to date on the 14 declared candidates heres a handy primer on who's who: Erin O'Toole: The establishment favourite, and predictably has the usual non-platform platform, his major plank so far being tax credits for youth unemployment and student debt. So to the former, presumably means tax breaks for companies hiring younger workers, which has been tried for decades with little to no success, and the latter presumably would allow students to deduct student debt from future earnings. All in all his platform i...

Defamation from National Post reporter

Yesterday after a brief twitter exchange involving an unfunny joke from National Post reporter, Tristin Hopper, he jumped to defamation and called me jobless. Actually no, I'm a working journalist, but Hopper is part of the Canadian media establishment, which has blacklisted me for being an entrepreneur (I started my own newspaper, and other publications) and so to him, I imagine, libel is fair game. In the Canadian press if you don't work for one of the intertwined four print media companies you are an outsider; if you in anyway challenge their markets, you are a threat, and subject to slander, phone hacking, being followed by private investigators, and any other technique they can devise to drag you through the mud. Hopper, as a loyal peon to that establishment loves to jump in with the mud flinging as soon as the opportunity arises (as demonstrated yesterday). Ironically his career in journalism started at the Yukon News, which remained independent till 2013 before sel...

Sherlock Holmes becomes feminist whipping boy

Season four of the Benedict Cumberbatch series, Sherlock, premiered January 1 and if you haven't seen it yet, but are a fan of the show, prepare yourself for disappointment. After a two and half year hiatus, thinking the show, with Cumberbatch's film career taking off, would never return, I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was in fact coming back for a fourth season. Then I watched it. The brilliant creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the cooly logical and highly perceptive Sherlock Holmes and his loyal sidekick John Watson, are, unsurprisingly, considered by the BBC inappropriate for today's audience. In short, they can't allow men to be portrayed as brilliant or brave. In season four, Mary Morstan (played by Martin Freeman's real life girlfriend, Amanda Abbington) is given a much expanded role, which basically involves henpecking Watson (her husband in the show) and belittling Sherlock. In the premier episode, Sherlock uncovers a murderous cabal of wom...

Ezra Levant, World's Biggest Hypocrite

Well perhaps Ezra Levent isn't the world's biggest hypocrite, but he's certainly up there. Why pray tell? You might ask. And I will tell you, Levant portrays himself as the tireless champion of free speech, but when it comes to any criticism of Canadian corporate media he will do all in his power to silence said criticism, including slandering yours truly. Why does someone I've never met spread slander about me? I surmise there can be only one reason for him to do so, because I dared to compete against his buddies at Glacier/Post Media. In Canada, if you dare to challenge the market share of the corrupt media companies you will find yourself viciously slandered, possibly subject to phone hacking and blacklisted as a journalist (when it comes to evil corporations they're pretty much the model). Levant began his career with a Glacier Media affiliate and believe me, he would not have been allowed to pursue any of his subsequent media projects without their...

Rogue One an SJW story

I'm a girl, so I'm automatically good at everything and like super brave, unlike those icky boys.  So the writers of the new Star Wars movie would like us to know that they few the Star Wars universe as the rebel alliance being a multi-cultural society, led by brave women, fighting a white supremacist empire. Look at me, I walk like a guy, but I'm more badass cause I don't have a penis. Great, popular entertainment is now a women/genders studies course, sounds like fun doesn't it? What would be social engineers in Hollywood don't realize is biological reality is hard to overcome. Some women today might like to see portrayals of how they too can join in the adventurous fun, but not at the expense of denigrating men (okay in this instance it's just white men) most women want a man to be a man when it comes right down to it, not a apologizing simply for existing beta male. I'm a man, but it's okay, I'm not white, so you can still r...

The Ghost of Christmas Future

Winter Festival is always such a magical time of year. I for one, always embrace it. Of course there was for a time some debate whether or not it should be called Winter Festival. Since not everyone in Canada originally come from places where there is winter, and so might find it exclusionary. At one point a group suggested calling it Festivus, which was gaining in popularity until it was discovered the name Festivus was actually a 'joke' name from an old TV show. Well the young men responsible will be spending a long time in reeducation as a result of their hate crime, hope the 'joke' was worth it boys. Reeducation isn't always that bad, some even enter it voluntarily, but for hate crimes it usually involves a long stay and oftentimes severe techniques to achieve the desired results with subjects. I wasn't at first in favour of the reeducation system (I know, check your privilege) but now I do see how necessary it is to achieve a safe and free society. A...

What is the Alt.Right?

What is the Alt. Right, is a popular question right now, presumably because the so-called Alt.Right is seen as having an effect on the recent U.S presidential election and to a lesser extent the rise of nationalist parties in Europe. Commentators like Milo Yiannopoulos have tried to paint the Alt.Right as simply right leaning citizens who distrust mainstream politics, and established political parties (including the GOP) which to a certain extent that's true. Unfortunately, however, it is not the whole truth. On the left many would describe Ben Shapiro and Yianopoulos both as prime examples of the Alt.Right, going so far as to smear them as white supremacists. Shapiro and Yiannopolous don't agree on much, but I'm sure neither would you accuse the other of harbouring views of white supremacy. Although Shapiro does recognize the white nationalist/supremacy element in the Alt. Right that Yiannopoulos tries to downplay or ignore as to insignificant to matter. Perhaps i...

Trudeau Jr. a.k.a Little Potato, a.k.a PM Selfie demonstrates his stupidity on the world stage

Poor Justin Trudeau, right now he's probably wondering why suddenly he's facing criticism? After all that's not supposed to be part of the media script. He's supposed to say stuff, like, important stuff, and then they're supposed to express how wonderful he is, coo about his cool yoga poses and his great hair. Not laugh at him. But this past week that's exactly what the world is doing, having a good laugh at Justin's lavish praise for his Uncle Fidel who recently passed away. The rest of the world knew him as the murderous dictator of Cuba, Fidel Castro. The man who imprisoned gays for the crime of being gay (but don't worry Justin, you'll still be invited to all the pride marches this summer) Castro also summarily executed thousands of dissidents and thousands more after mock trials. Many found themselves imprisoned indefinitely for not showing enough love to this "much loved leader." Even the newspaper of record for the far left, T...
